 about

How can we supply traditional

craftsman with a better

business platform to better

enable them to promote

themselves more effectively in

a digital age?

Goal

By providing solely traditional

craftsman in the UK with a

central marketing platform and

business support service their

crafts will be available to a

wider audience, helping to

increase the demand for their

goods and services whilst

preserving their craft through

better public awareness.

What is the problem?

  ‘It said some traditional

crafts are now “in the hands

of an ageing population” and

at risk of fading away in the

next five years.’

  However, eighty percent of

craftspeople admit they don’t

pass on their skills and some

skills, such as parchment

making, are at risk of

extinction in the UK.

‘HRH The Prince of Wales was concerned that traditional crafts were dying out across the UK. We think that it’s crucial to preserve these valuable skills before they’re lost. Passing on the wisdom and knowledge that we have built up over hundreds and thousands of years is so important.’
